 During my time working for Valencia College, I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Middleton as he volunteered as a mentor for one of my students in the Horizon Scholars college program. I was fortunate to have had several interactions with Dr. Middleton on his efforts and aspirations to best lead his students and discuss his professional journey. Throughout the school year I would contact Dr. Middleton to gain insight into what would make students successful at both grade school and higher education level. With decades of service Dr. Middleton provided to the world of academia, he fully earned my respect and regard for being a helpful voice and eventual mentor to my professional career. Since that time, I have had the pleasure of growing and evolving both personally and professionally from Dr. Middleton’s mentoring.
